Jellyfish provides high-quality animation, visual effects (VFX) and art department services to media corporations around the world. Clients include Disney+, Netflix, DreamWorks, Apple TV, HBO, Sky, BBC and Amazon. The company’s HQ is a newly built state of the art facility in Brixton, London, which is a hub for its hugely talented, global network of staff.

Investment process
We were introduced to Jellyfish Pictures in August 2021 and were immediately excited by the growth opportunities that existed. With its pipeline of confirmed work standing at an unprecedented level, Key’s investment is being used to expedite the global scaling of Jellyfish’s VFX and animation teams and advance the development and production of its original content through Jellyfish Originals.
Growth process
Since we invested there has been significant investment in the management team with the introduction of a new CEO, Operations Director and a new head of VFX. This has broadened and futureproofed the team and will allow the business to scale much more aggressively. We also recruited a Non-Executive Chair, Lynton Barker, who is well known to Key from his Chair role at Sparta Global, a hugely successful past investment. Jellyfish already has market leading IT infrastructure and further investment in being made in internal systems to facilitate continuing expansion.
