The Kite Factory: Agency of the Year!
The Kite Factory (TKF) has been awarded Campaign UK’s Agency of the Year!
In the early 1990s, Campaign’s Agency of the Year awards were established to recognise inspiring leadership, management excellence, outstanding business performance, and overall achievements in advertising and brand communications. In particular, Campaign champions the new breed of creative brand-builder, those who are disrupting and re-shaping the industry.
Based in London, The Kite Factory is an independent performance marketing agency, providing media, planning and campaign evaluation services to clients within numerous sectors including charity, online, gym, financial and retail.
Campaign was impressed by TKF’s focus on the charitable sector, stating that “With a 50/50 split between charities and commercial clients, and a 42% growth over the last two years, The Kite Factory is an agency with its heart in the right place and a commitment to doing the right thing. Longstanding clients include WaterAid, Lovehoney and Crisis, which make up the impressive 88 accounts it handles.”
They went on to highlight the recent Crisis campaign, saying TKF had created a media campaign that made homelessness “impossible to ignore”.
The judges were equally excited by the team dynamics and TKF’s understanding of the importance of unconscious bias and neurodiversity. Of its senior staff, 31% are female, rising to 56% when considering the overall workforce. BAME representation is 25% in senior management, 26% in the wider agency and 47% in entry-level recruits.
The panel of judges, comprising of an esteemed group of industry leaders and experts, commented: “Some great work across a diverse range of clients that delivered tangible results and significant industry recognition.
