Market leading fire, security and communications integrator, Total Integrated Solutions (TIS), has appointed a new Chairman.

April 23, 2021

Ted Goold joins the business following a long and successful career working in manufacturing and service industries. His previous experience includes senior roles in print & packaging, and building materials industries in the UK, Europe and China.

Ted has been a Non-Executive Chairman for over 10 years and during this time has had some notable success. He is currently Chairman of Wells Plastics, a specialist plastic additives manufacturer and also held the same role at AIP which tripled revenues over a four year period and was sold to Sodexo delivering an excellent return for Key and management.

CEO at TIS, James Twigg, commented: “I am absolutely delighted to have Ted joining the board at TIS. As we grow, we will no doubt pull on all of his extensive experience and abilities to guide us in the right direction. On a personal level, I cannot wait to learn from a man who has had some very impressive positions throughout his career.”

I am delighted to be working with James and the TIS team on the next chapter of the successful growth story. TIS is a terrific business with an enviable reputation for client service.

Mansfield-based TIS is a design led fire, security and communications integrator which installs, maintains and services systems, with leading credentials across a broad range of sectors including retirement villages, open space CCTV and Smart City installations, the Ministry of Defence and further education. Key invested in TIS earlier this month.

James Hall, Managing Partner at Key who joined the board at TIS following the Key’s investment, adds: “Ted has worked with a number of Key portfolio businesses over the last few years and is a great guy to have around. The executive team at TIS is already strong and with Ted alongside them we are confident that they can deliver significant growth and value over the next few years.”
